Dear Sir/Madam,
I am a student in year 6 at Cranbrook school. I’m currently undertaking a unit of inquiry called 'how we organise ourselves' at school. This is an exploration into our governmental systems. As part of this unit we have to choose a local issue or problem and then contact whoever need be to try and convince/prove to them that the issue should be fixed.
I am trying to create priority hybrid car park spaces in Westfield Bondi Junction. This will encourage people to buy hybrid cars because there will either be cheaper valet parking or priority spaces. The bigger picture is that hybrid cars don’t burn as much fuel. This is benefiting the environment as well as owner/driver. (Think locally, act globally).
Please take the time to look at my blog by typing in the URL address jepstein36.blogspot.com.
My main interest in contacting you is to let the public know what a young school boy like me is doing to help the environment and also to show that I have taken the learning and knowledge a step further than just what we have been told to do in the school hours.
Yours sincerely,
Jordan

What I sent to Westfield.
Dear Westfield,
My name is Jordan Epstein and I am a student in year 6 at Cranbrook school. Kim O'Connor (Chief Editor of the Wentworth Courier) has previously written an article on me about my interest and love for being a young entrepreneur and for raising thousands of dollars each year in support of many different charities.
Currently my year grade and I are undertaking a unit of inquiry called 'how we organise ourselves' this is an exploration into our governmental systems (how it works and what they do).
As part of this unit we have to choose a local issue or problem and then contact whoever need be to try and convince/prove to them that the issue should be fixed or changed. This part is called ‘have your say’.
I chose to try and create priority hybrid car park spaces in Westfield Bondi Junction. This will encourage people to buy hybrid cars because there will either be cheaper valet or normal parking or priority spaces (next to disabled parking). The bigger picture is that hybrid cars don’t burn as much fuel whilst travelling. This is benefiting the environment as well as whoever pays the expensive fuel prices. (Think locally, act globally).
Please take the time to look at my blog which contains constant updates of what I am up to by typing into the URL address box- jepstein36.blogspot.com.
I look forward to hearing back shortly with the intention of meeting someone to discus this opportunity for my school project that will benefit the environment as well.
Yours sincerely,
Jordan
